Federal Minister Education, professional training Shafqat Mehmood in media talk after NCOC meeting said that no exams will be conducted in the country till June 15.
He said that O levels and A levels exams will be conducted in October/November session but A2 students who want to take admission in foreign universities will be allowed to give examinations. But no more than 50 students will be allowed to sit in the examination center.
Here is Shafqat Mehmood's latest tweet about the cancellation of the examination.
University admissions in Pakistan will be aligned for class 12 and A2 who will be taking exams in Oct/Nov. This is to ensure no one loses a year. For A2 who have some compulsion to take exams now, every attempt will be made to provide safe venues. Not more than 50 students

The decision is taken in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus as third-wave coronavirus has taken the country to a very critical situation.

But Students weren't happy with the decision and demanded the cancellation instead of exams being postponed.
The hashtag #Resignshafqatmahmood is trending on Twitter as students think of this decision as a threat to their career as with this uncertainty they cannot continue their education properly.
However, the decision is taken in order not to affect the education due to corona as exams were also canceled the previous year and again cancellation will be a question mark to the credibility of the education system.
